Way back when, while the trip was a glimmer in my eye, I had a few things I wanted to accomplish before I left. While I accomplished some, probably the most important one I have basically failed.
I wanted to be able to communicate in Spanish and Italian as much as possible. I have Rosetta Stone on my laptop for both languages and so far, I have learned the most useless phrases. For example:
"El caballo es blanco." (The horse is white)
"La mujer tiene arroz." (The woman has rice)
I did take 2 years of both languages in college but I still know very little. And I'm doubtful I'll be talking about any horses. While Molly will be a great translator, I don't want to be ignorant to the culture or people. So, it's crunch time and I vow to practice every day. (eek!)
Leave comments of the phrases I need to know, for both Spain and Italy.
Also, I added a countdown because it's coming up VERY soon!
